LoopRace

LOOPRACE

Credits & technology

LoopRace is an independent browser racing game by DIY Elektronik by Knigge. The concept, interface, car visuals and track tools were developed for this project.

Music and vehicle sounds

LoopRace uses engine, effects and music files hosted locally on the game server from the supplied Block Car sound packs and LoopRace Engine Sounds v3 pack. Vehicle-specific engine loops are mixed using the Web Audio API, with procedural sounds supplementing some effects. Audio files load from our own domain. Adjust music and effects in the game.

Technical structure

The interface uses React, TypeScript and Vite. Node.js, Express and Socket.IO connect drivers and maintain authoritative game state. Track validation and driving physics share logic between browser and server.
